Bettie J. Campbell 73, of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on July 3, 2021.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 1:00PM from the grounds of St. Matthew AME Zion Church in Maxton; burial will follow in McLeod Cemetery in Maxton.

Bettie J. Campbell 73 of Willimatic , CT was born in Maxton , NC on April 10, 1948 Youngest daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Lonnie and Annie Jones Sr..

Bettie transitioned into the presence of the Lord from Douglas Manor on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Bettie Married James(Jimmy) Campbell August 26, 1972.

And to this Union one son was born, Marcus Campbell.  She Attended R.B. Dean School District and graduated " Class of 1966".  She was also a graduate of St. Augustine College in NC in Which she pledged the Sorority SIGMA GAMMA RHO.

Bettie worked over 10 years for Bridgeport Housing Authority and was The First African-American Underwriter for Liberty Mutual in Boston , MA up until her Retirement.

She was A Member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church since Childhood and When Bettie Moved Back to her Childhood home she then Attended St Matthews AME Zion Church in which she made her New Church home.

Bettie was Survived by her Husband James Campbell...Her loving Son Marcus Campbell..Her Step-daughter Lynneanne Burnett(Francis Sr.)..5 Grand-children...Francis Burnett Jr., Sarah Burnett, Alexis Campbell, James Campbell, Mckenzie Campbell and 1 Great-Grandchild...Madison Burnett,

1 Sister..Mrs. Annie Lucille Edwards...3 Brother in-laws.. Flen Larkin,  David Miles, And Robert Campbell...7 Sister in-laws.. Saundra Randolph, Gwen Manning, Jean Richardson, Audrey Ruffen, Beulah A. Campbell, Cynthia M. Campbell, And Grace Bionson.
