Brian Murray 51 of Red Springs transitioned into eternal rest on March 14, 2025. 
Pastor Derek McNair is the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, Bishop Fredrick T. Murray will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Community Rest in Red Springs.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, son Isaiah Richardson, daughter Amiyah Richardson, bonus daughter Keheira Richardson and bonus grandson Ethan Nobles; parents Barbara and Robert McRae; special friend Diahann Richardson; brothers John Willie Wilson Jr., Barry McPhaul, James Barton, Brian Barton, Jason Moore and Robert McRae Jr., sisters Tonya McPhaul Burney, Gladdeeisha McPhaul-Glover, Leona Barton, Sonya Barton, Latoya Swain, Nicole Torian; niece Ikea Wilson, nephews Joshua Wilson Jr., Monte Wilson and other nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Special aunts Shelia McCormick, Betty Davis, Ella Murray and Vivian McRae. Special uncles Fred Murray Jr., Charles Murray, Wayne Murray and James Murray.
