James Junior Alford 72 of Gibson, NC formerly of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on December 31, 2022.

Pastor Gyspie Murdaugh will deliver the eulogy; burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors are: wife: Helena Davis Alford, daughters: Joseleena Martin and Neffetiri Harrison; sons: James Junior Alford Jr., John Davis and Lamont Pugh; brothers: Eli Alford, Junior Levi Alford, Alexander Alford, John Alford, Jerome Alford, Roger Alford, Daren Alford and Lorenzo Alford; sisters: Rev. Josephine Sutton, Deborah Ann Addai, Beulah Palmer, Martha Ann Monroe and Mary Magdalene Alford, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
