Jennette Campbell-Malloy Obituary

Jennette Campbell-Malloy 64 of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on April 17, 2023. 

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 1:00PM from Townsend Middle School in Maxton. Reverend Purnell McQueen will deliver the eulogy; burial will follow in McLeod Cemetery in Maxton.

Jennette Louise Campbell- Malloy, was born September 15, 1958 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late James Harold Campbell and Thelma Mae Campbell. Jennette was raised by her paternal aunt, Thelma MeEachin and Uncle Lorenza McEachin in Maxton, North Carolina. She attended R.B.

Dean, Townsend Middle and Maxton High Schools. After graduating high school she attended Shaw University. She obtained her bachelor of arts degree in sociology at UNC Pembroke, where she also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a master of arts degree in reading education.

She joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, and later became a faithful member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary and on the usher board.

She was married to Andria Alonzo Malloy who preceded her in death. Jennette was also preceded in death by her parents, James Harold Campbell and Thelma Moore Campbell Stevenson; brother, James Campbell "Bud', James Campbell Jr., sister Barbara Jean Campbell Wiggins, aunts Bessie Morales and Katie L. Moore, and uncles Lloyd M. Townsend, Fred Townsend Jr., and James Coy Townsend.

Jennette answered the Master's call on April 17, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Telly Campbell "Esco", of Manhattan, NY, Terence Campbell "T-man' and Travis Campbell "Treez"; of Maxton, NC, two step childern Andria Malloy and Andrea Malloy; ten grandchildren; Ayana Campbell, Sanaa Campbell, Jaida Campbell, Jordan Campbell, Jaylen Rudolph, Auset Goodman, Tayveanna Campbell, Grace Jennette Campbell, Tramieya Campbell and Kobe Campbell. Four sisters Deborah Ann Carter, Gail Campbell, Brenda Best, Denise Baskerville; Brother Wylie Stevenson Jr. Aunts: Mary Johnson, Loretta Townsend and a special Aunt Margaret Drakeford, honorary brother and sister Lorenza (Rita) McEachin and Nora McEachin; special friends Lillye (Neise) McLean, Vernette Nathan, Gordon Zeigler "Bug" and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
