Jerome Briggs 65 of Gastonia formerly of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on April 11, 2021.

He was retired from the Gastonia Police Department in Gastonia NC.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 12noon from St. Matthews AME Zion Church Grounds in Maxton. A Graveside Service will be Monday April 19, 2021 at 12:30 PM from Westview Garden in 1123 Edgewood Rd, Bessemer City, NC.
Survivors are: Wife: Johnnie Mae Briggs. Sons: Anthony Jerome Briggs, Darrell McGirt and Donald Galbreath. Brothers: Rufus Briggs Jr, Michael Briggs, Colon Briggs, Gilbert Briggs and John Belton Briggs. Sister: Lisa Briggs-Bethea.
