Mary J. McDougal 72 of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on March 22, 2023.

Survivors are: daughters: Mary A. McDougal, Shelia McDougal, Annie Denise Johnson Easterling, Shirley Stanley and Brenda Johnson Miller; sons: James D. McDougal, Marcus C. McDougal, Christopher B. McDougal, Francis E. Hall, James C. McDougal and Jeffery McDougal; sister: Geraldine McDougal and Everyn Barton, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
