Michael Briggs 69 of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on February 16, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his beloved son, Michael A. Jackson (Asherdee) of Laurinburg, 

NC; three grandchildren, Makayla H. Jackson, Isaiah J. Jackson, and Kylie F. Jackson all of Laurinburg, NC; 

one sister, Lisa Briggs Bethea (Cary) of Raeford, NC; four brothers, Rufus Briggs, Jr. Of Charlotte, NC, 

John Briggs of Marietta, GA, Gilbert Briggs and Colon Briggs of Maxton, NC; a close, special friend, Betty 

Bullard of Maxton, NC; a longtime friend, Terrel Sampson of Pembroke, NC; and a host of nieces,

nephews, cousins and friends.

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC.
