We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Reverend Ella Jacobs-Patterson, who passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on February 25, 2025 at Scotland Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Loyd L. Patterson of the home and five children, Howard L. Jacobs, Sr. LeQuicia Jacobs, Jamecia (Olufemi) Adeniyi, Eric Hamilton-Patterson, and Erica Hamilton-Patterson. She was blessed to have 9 grandchildren: Bryant L. Jacobs, LeeQuan L. McLaurin, LeAsia J. Jacobs, David D. McCallum, Jr, Howard L Jacobs, Jr., Sarah A. Jacobs, Khloe S. Parker, Erioluwa A. Adeniyi, and Ellysia R. Hamilton-Patterson; 3 great-grandchildren: Ma’Zyi Jacobs, Caiden Jacobs and Carter Jacobs.
In addition, her siblings whom she loved dearly, Reverend Betty (James) Austin, Tommy (Shirley) Jacobs, Mary (James) Horton and Curtis (Sharon) Jacobs. Also, left to cherish her memory is a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, church family, loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Chalmers & Mrs. Ella Wease Jacobs as well as a daughter, La’Anikka J. Jacobs.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC.
The family will receive guest at 58 Squirrel Lane, Maxton NC.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. The family is inviting everyone to wear any version of peach, cream and black to honor their loved one if you are able.
