A  Private Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at 2:00PM from McLeod Cemetery in Maxton; burial will follow.

Survivors are: Mother: Bobbie Jean Chavis (Bert). Wife: Althea Thomas-McLean. Daughters: Sharmayne McLean, Ashlee McLean and Nichole Daniels. Son: Nikolas McLean. Granddaughter: Tyler Monique McLean. Sisters: Martha Flowers, Lillye “Neise” McLean, Jane Anna Ford (Scott), Cheri Chavis, Gerry Flowers (Dave) and Mary Flowers- Burke (Earl). Brothers: Eddie Chavis, Tony Chavis (Chenae), David McLean, Darryl Chavis, Jon Flowers (Natasha), John Wesley McLean and Sean Dial (Donna); Comrade Ralph Carthan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
