Virginia Johnson Ward “Maturt” 88 of Chadbourn transitioned into eternal rest on February 25, 2024.

Pastor Andrico " Rico" Chestnut will deliver the eulogy; burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Memorial Gardens.

Survivors are children: V. Diane Garner, Chadbourn; Shelton Ray Ward, Augusta, GA; Walter Lee (Vanessa) Ward, Chadbourn; Denise Ward, Lumberton; Phyllisteen Brown. Chadbourn; and George Ward (Bernadette), Franklin, TN. 

Grandsons raised in the home Travis S. Ward and Jasey W. Ward, Chadbourn; sixteen grands, twenty-seven great grands and seven great great grands.
