Willie McKoy Murphy 66 of Maxton transitioned into eternal rest on October 05, 2024.

Dr. Arthur Ratliff, Sr. is the pastor; burial will follow in Waterhole Cemetery in Rowland.

Survivors are: mother: Carletha Murphy; wife: Barbara Murphy; son: Christopher Murphy; daughters: Marion Murphy, Kenyatta Fulmore, Shekira LaBoard, Kanetra Jones, Niakeya Cooper and Amelia Jones; brothers: Charles Murphy, Darous Murphy and James Tony Leach; sisters: Phakeisha Murphy, Patricia Murphy, Faye Graham, Rita Miller; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
