Woodrow Daniels, Ellison, son of the late Lemine Daniels and Woodrow Ellison Sr was born on March 1, 1941in Florence,South Carolina.
He departed this life, at home, on September 7, 2024.
Woodrow, better know as Pick, received his education in the Florence, SC school system. Later in life, he moved to Baltimore, MD. Pick was a hard dedicated worker. He worked at Warren- Erth for 30 years (Local Union 30) as a Sheet Metalist and Roofer. Before his retirement, Pick worked as a Demolitionist & Truck Driver at P&J Contracting Company.
Pick made numerous friends wherever he went. He was soft spoken, kind, would do anything to help and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.
Left to cherish his precious memories, the love of his life and devoted wife foe 21 years Dwetta Ellison (Toot) Burt; four sons, Woodrow Ellison, Xavier Ellison and Torri Yancey, all of Baltimore
MD and Maurice Ellison (Lori) of Ocean City MD: two daughters, Deborah Ellison, who proceeded him in death and Antoinette Yancey Baker (Lamont) of Baltimore MD; one sister, Geraldine Daniels, who proceeded him in death.
Two brothers-n-law, James Burt (Clementine) of Whiteville, NC and Gregory Mitchell of Baltimore, MD; Three sisters-n-law, Janet Burt Reaves (George) and Denise Mitchell of Baltimore MD and Renitta Burt Geiger (Freddie) of Ft Mill, SC.
A devoted granddaughter, Azalia Pettway and great grandchildren Zyaire, Zaaylea and Immanuel of Whitset, NC: special and devoted friends of many years, Johnson N. Johnson, Chet Davis, Freddie Jr., Anthony Stephens and Harvey LeSane; a host of additional grandchildren, great grandchildren. nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
